Visas and Residency
European University – The Geneva Business School, Switzerland
Visas in Switzerland
For all students (except European and American citizens), please follow the procedure below to obtain a Swiss student visa.
Upon acceptance of a new student, the administration will provide him/her with a document to be filled out and signed by the student and returned to the European University. With this document, the administration will start the visa procedure. In the meantime, the student is required to go to the nearest Swiss Embassy or Consulate in his country to apply for the same. The student must provide the Embassy or Consulate with the certificate of acceptance in French (received from EU together with the admission letter) as well as his /her passport. The Embassy and Consulate will also provide students with a form to be filled out and signed. This form will be sent directly by the Embassy/Consulate to the Foreign Authorities in Switzerland. Visas are normally issued within 1–3 months.
European and American citizens can enter Switzerland without a visa. The EU administration will provide the students with the necessary documents upon their arrival in Switzerland. However, we would suggest that the procedure for students outside Europe and North America is followed.
